This Week in the Ohio Cincinnati Mission
We had a baptism! And, let me tell you, it did Not come easily. There was a huge storm, and the branch president kept trying to call it off (also, by huge storm, it was only a few inches of snow, but Cincinnatians cancel EVERYTHING when it snows-- which is weird, because they have plows, and salt), but my companion was DETERMINED that it would go through. So we kept going. It was one thing after another- the Elders from another ward called the day before and wanted to combine programs, and we had everything planned already, so we had to rearrange stuff and make the programs, which was a fiasco. The library was crashed, the copier didn't work, etc. Then the Elders couldn't find a jump suit for their investigator. Everything that went wrong happened. It was crazy!!! And then-- we couldn't find our investigator. She was gone!! We finally found her- she was at her sister's house, and the ride she was supposed to have to her house cancelled. So, she was about 40 minutes away from the Church, and the members were nervous about driving out there. Finally, the storm let up a little bit, and some people went to get here. Once she was here, and the program started-- there was an OVERWHELMING, strong Spirit there. It was so incredible. It was one of the most beautiful experiences, and Kim was so happy. It was amazing to see. She has grown so much! And she has worked so hard to get where she is now. It was a beautiful day.
