From the Texas Houston South Mission
One day I found out that me and my family would be moving soon if my Dad couldn't find any work. I was devastated I had never moved in my life! I loved our Ward and they were our family- I told my parents that I was going to do my best to find a job and help my parents with their bills so that we didn't have to move. I didn't even know how to find jobs or have any skills to work. I didn't even know what to do- most of the jobs required people to work on Sundays. There were some people who offered me jobs to work on Sundays but I chose not to do that because I know I needed to go to church, keep Gods commandments, and keep my covenants to him.One night I prayed and asked God for help, and to know what he would wish for me to do. After a while I felt prompted to go pay Dottie a visit, she is one of the ladies that I visit taught. When I saw her, she was very sick and her house was a mess, I decided to help her and help clean up her house, she was so happy and thanked me. I continued to see Dottie every couple weeks. A couple months later Dottie's Husband- Vic thanked me for helping his wife and asked me how me and my family were doing. After I told him me and my family's situation he told me that because I helped him and his wife, he wanted to help me. He worked at Deseret Industries and had an opening for me to work in, I went with him to speak to the manager and I got a job there, a few months later I did a business partnership with a Vet hospital and they hired me to work there as a Vet Assistant. God heard my prayer, and I know that when we do whats right and obey gods commandments, God will help us in all things.
